Assured Safety Recruitment is partnering with a growing multi-site organisation to recruit an experienced Interim Head of HSE for an initial 3 to 6 month assignment, with the potential for the role to become permanent longer term.\n\nThis is a key leadership role, providing strategic and operational direction across health, safety and environmental performance. The successful candidate will lead HSE teams across multiple sites, support senior stakeholders, and help shape a positive, proactive safety culture during a period of change and future growth.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Interim Head of HSE, you will be responsible for leading and developing the HSE function across a multi-site operation. You will work closely with site leadership teams to ensure consistent standards, drive engagement, and support the organisation’s plans for sustainable growth.\n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\nLeading, coaching and supporting HSE teams across multiple locations\nDeveloping and embedding a strong health and safety culture\nProviding clear HSE leadership to senior management and operational teams\nReviewing existing systems, processes and performance\nSupporting compliance across health, safety and environmental legislation\nIdentifying opportunities to improve standards, consistency and engagement\nHelping the business plan for future growth from an HSE perspective\nBuilding strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation\nThe Candidate\n\nWe are looking for an experienced senior HSE professional who can quickly add value in an interim capacity and who may also be open to a longer-term permanent opportunity.\n\nExperience of managing HSE teams and working within a multi-site organisation would be highly advantageous.

You will be confident leading people, influencing senior stakeholders, and developing practical solutions that support both compliance and business performance.\n\nYou are likely to bring:\n\nPrevious experience in a senior HSE leadership role\nExperience leading teams and developing HSE capability\nStrong multi-site operational experience, ideally within a complex organisation\nA track record of improving culture, engagement and performance\nThe ability to work at both strategic and operational levels\nStrong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills\nA pragmatic, proactive and commercially aware approach\nThe Opportunity\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced interim HSE leader to make an immediate impact, support a developing organisation, and help shape the future direction of the HSE function. There is also the potential for the assignment to develop into a permanent role longer term.\n\nFixed Term Contract or Day rate considered
