A generalist HR Manager role working for a successful legal firm based in YorkClient DetailsA successful law firm with offices in York and across YorkshireDescriptionThe HR Manager is responsible for leading the small HR Department on the full range of HR responsibilities including Employee Relations, L&D, employee engagement, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, management development and HR systems.Key responsibilities will include:Managing employee relationsRecruitment and retention of staff to include succession planningDeveloping and implementing L&D approaches to support business needLead and make recommendations to the Remuneration Committee on promotions and salary progressionOverall responsibility for payroll and other benefitsHR financial planning and implementation to include target and bonus modelling, and budgetsLeading and project managing the implementation of HR projects and initiatives Oversight of HR/regulatory activities and processes to ensure HR complianceBuilding and maintaining key relationships across the company Lead on continuous improvements including policy and procedure implementation and day to day HR operational processesProfileTo be successful in the HR Manager role you will need to be/have:CIPD qualification, minimum level 5Previous experience in a professional services company is essentialProven HR experience in a progressive careerPeople management experience with proven ability to lead and influence changeManaging employee relations and improving employee engagementExperience operating at a strategic level with demonstrable positive outcomesJob OfferThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to progress their career in a supportive environment.Salary £40-50,000 plus benefits depending on experienceYork based with some flexibilityPermanent role
